After playwright Paula Vogel lost her brother to AIDS, she wrote this ambitious piece of theatre that, in the words of The New York Times, is “… a crazy-quilt patchwork of hyperventilating language, erotic jokes, movie kitsch, and medical nightmare… that spins before the audience in Viennese waltz time, replete with a dizzying fall“.
The Baltimore Waltz stands as a unique, darkly funny, yet deeply moving love letter to a brother gone too soon.
